Summary We are looking for a motivated student seeking a challenging internship in the Aviation industry. In this role, you will support Mechanical Design Engineering activities for new make hardware within a flight engine product line. The selected candidate will assist in problem-solving projects, action plans, and ensure timely communication. Autonomous work, genuine interest and passion for mechanical engineering, manufacturing processes, hardware quality and learning through real business challenges is essential.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities Support mechanical engineering activities related to new make hardware. Collect, organize, and analyze technical and manufacturing data from shops and suppliers. Learn from cross-functional teams like design engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to support hardware delivery and issue resolution. Assist in the evaluation of non-conformances for assigned hardware. Support technical assessments, substantiations and follow-up actions for hardware or process deviations, under mentor guidance. Participate in root cause analysis , problem-solving efforts, and corrective/preventive action development. Help track and communicate status of technical issues, risks, and action plans to key stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Perform self-check of work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements. Qualification / Requirements Student pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish. English skills: must be able to maintain a conversation in English. Basic understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions/tolerances, and manufacturing processes is preferred. Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to work on technical problems in a structured manner. Proven organizational skills and ability to manage assigned tasks with autonomy. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational abilities. Accountable and strong learning/continuous improvement mindset Open team player and strong interpersonal skills Experience with quality tools, root cause analysis, or visual management tools is a plus. In-person work is required at our offices in Querétaro, México.
