Job Description
We are seeking a Deputy Project Director to join our dynamic project management team in Doha, Qatar. In this pivotal role, you will support the Project Director in overseeing complex airport development and operational projects from conception through completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams. Assist the Project Director in planning, organizing, and executing airport projects of varying scope and complexity Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure optimal project performance and cost control Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, consultants, and internal departments to facilitate seamless project execution Monitor project progress against established timelines and deliverables, identifying and addressing deviations proactively Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies throughout all project phases Prepare and present detailed project reports, status updates, and performance metrics to senior leadership Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment Manage escalations and resolve conflicts between project stakeholders in a professional and decisive manner Analyze project data and performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency Qualifications Minimum 18 years of project management experience, with at least 10 years in a senior project management or deputy director capacity Proven experience managing airport development, cargo expansion, or operational project is a must Strong knowledge of airport operations, aviation industry standards, and regulatory requirements Demonstrated expertise in budget management, financial forecasting, and cost control Proficiency with project management methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent frameworks Advanced proficiency with project management software and tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar platforms) Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills with the ability to influence diverse groups Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach to project delivery Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Preferred:
