About the role
As an executive for Data Center - commissioning activities the person will include but not limited to the below roles and responsibilities Diagnose and resolve technical issues while handling HVAC equipment and systems. Ensure smooth operation and performance of equipment as per client expectations and project requirements. Travel to and work from customer locations in Navi Mumbai to support project execution and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover to operations through L2~L5 commissioning levels of Chillers, CDU’s and airside products Ensure safe work practices are followed by the commissioning team and customer site. TIER 3/4 Data Centre from UPTIME, Ensuring Five Levels (Factory witness, installation verification, start-up & BMS integration, functional performance, and system integration testing) of T&C as per UPTIME Standards Primary liaison among clients, suppliers, and contractors; led bi-annual performance reviews and risk mitigation initiatives. Ensure adherence to data center standards, SOPs, safety, security, and compliance requirements. Manage our deliverables, installation schedules, acceptance criteria, and performance SLAs. Lead change management activities including change requests, impact assessments, and go-live readiness. Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization across Factory like EOL inspections before dispatch of the products from factory. Coordinated Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), FWT script finalization, and receipt inspection documentation for billing. Collaborate with engineering, factory, and quality teams to implement lessons learned in future projects. Reduced Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) by enforcing quality standards and ensuring timely handover documentation/training. Conduct site observation surveys and prepares field reports on the status of projects and completion of projects with respect to compliance to the plans and specifications for T&C. Proactively manage risks and escalations, ensuring minimal impact to the customer commitments. Following with 3rd Party Testing Team for smooth transition of T&C Works.
Requirements
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering 5-8 years of strong experience of commissioning activities for Data Center critical projects in India Knowledge of various Building Automation/Monitoring Systems (BAS/BMS), Air Handlers, Chillers, CDU’s, (CRAC/CRAH), Pressure/Temperature/Humidity sensors & Flowmeters. Work under construction site conditions Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&ID’s and specifications.
