Specialist - People Relations Mumbai Role Purpose: This role is responsible for driving People Relations for employees in the region. The role will partner with People leaders and employees to strengthen employee experience, deploy growth and engagement initiatives, ensure legal and policy compliance, and drive operational excellence across the assigned regions. The position will act as a key people touchpoint to enable a consistent, responsive, and scalable employee relations framework across locations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Growth Initiatives & People Programs Support deployment of people growth initiatives across region in alignment with business and people priorities. Partner with managers and employees to drive a positive, high-trust employee relations environment across remote and office-based teams. Translate organizational people priorities into actionable regional initiatives and ensure timely execution. Employee Experience & Engagement Enhance employee experience across region by building on the baseline employee experience framework established last year. Enrich the employee lifecycle experience through proactive employee connect, workforce sentiment tracking, and feedback-driven improvements. Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives including festive celebrations, inclusion and diversity activities, and wellness programs suited to the regional workforce mix. Strengthen employment connect through regular employee touchpoints, listening forums, and timely closure of employee concerns. Initiate and implement health and wellness initiatives to promote employee well-being and workplace belonging. Legal, Compliance & Policy Governance Manage local employee-related obligations and support compliance requirements across the assigned regions in coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners. Monitor compliance readiness, maintain required documentation, and support successful audits, reviews, and certifications as applicable. Drive policy governance by ensuring alignment, communication, and adherence to people policies and local practices across locations. Flag employee relations, policy, and compliance risks proactively and work with relevant stakeholders on closure plans. Operational Excellence & Governance Drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability of people processes across region. Optimize employee relations and lifecycle processes by reducing manual intervention, improving responsiveness, and strengthening governance. Ensure timely completion of employee lifecycle activities and maintain service quality across onboarding, changes, and exits. Track process adherence, identify improvement opportunities, and support automation and standardization initiatives wherever feasible. Strengthen implementation and adherence to policies, SOPs, and people processes across all covered locations. Required Experience & Skills: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification. 8–12 years of relevant experience in People Relations, HR Operations, or Employee Experience roles Experience in managing employee lifecycle processes, employee engagement initiatives, and policy implementation. Working knowledge of employment practices, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks across India and exposure to international locations is preferred. Experience in 30-60-90 days feedback sessions with employees Strong stakeholder management, employee connect, and communication skills. High degree of ownership, responsiveness, and
