As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As our products and services scale the globe, we work behind the scenes to secure infrastructure to build Google's future. As a part of the Strategic Partnership Office, you will be associated with the organization that operates at the intersection of industrial innovation, external affairs, and civic impact, creating bridges between Google’s technology capabilities and the real-world partners that extend our reach and mission. As part of the SPO (Strategic Partnership Office), the Economic and Community Development team is a vertically integrated organization responsible for analyzing and mitigating economic, community, and labor risks to deliver an optimized inventory of assets meeting the operating needs of the business, and to ensure economic growth and resilience leveraging place-based strategies our markets. You will provide the hyperlocal civic impact, community sustainability, and external engagement strategy, programs, structure, and tools to expand economic, community and workforce development outcomes for our communities.

Lead global data center community development strategies, investments, and impact for Norway. Engage with key opinion formers, community groups such as municipal leaders, industry partners, economic development organizations, schools, education institutions, and non-profits to ensure initiatives are centered around community needs and accelerating business objectives. Collaborate with team leaders and peers to develop strategies to scale sub regional Community Affairs coverage in emerging markets, focusing on place-based frameworks and partnerships to produce location-specific development plans based on research data turned into actionable insights to prioritize community needs. Develop communication tools and processes to educate local communities about the role and impact of data centers, and create locally focused investment plans that are self-sustaining, localizing and implementing community development initiatives in each community.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in program or project management. Experience managing a team of managers. Experience developing and launching local, state, national or global public-private partnerships. Experience in one or more of the following: data centers, utilities, government, advanced manufacturing or capital intensive industries. Experience using data and analytics. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent practical experience. Ability to grow in a fluid multinational environment working across multiple lines of business. Ability to grow in a fluid multinational environment working across multiple lines of business. Ability to travel 25% of the time as needed, across multi-market Data Center portfolio. Ability to communicate in Norwegian and English fluently.
