The Principal Liaison Engineer (MAP) is responsible for the development and approval of solutions related to aircraft non-conformities which require engineering expertise and delegation to be resolved. The MAP Engineer represents a particular engineering specialty including, but not limited to: Aircraft Systems, Cabin, Electrical and Mechanical Installation, and Structures. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges: Responsible for creation/ approval / authorization (release) of technical solutions including justification reports for repairs / reworks and troubleshooting instructions and the identification, explanation, resolution and documentation of anomalies which will be delivered with the aircraft to the design office and the authorities (EASA, FAA or Transport Canada TC). Involved in all aircraft systems and structure (metallic/composite). Analyzes all reported malfunctions of aircraft systems/structures and launches trouble-shooting activities. Represents all design offices, subcontractors and risk-sharing partners. Represents the Single Aisle Chief Engineer/Design Office and acts as interface between the design organization and the manufacturing organization.
