Technology Development Program (TECDP) - Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Track

Our Technology Development Program (TECDP) empowers early‑career technologists to build meaningful skills while transforming how millions experience healthcare. TECDP is a two-year program designed to build technical expertise and a holistic understanding of how technology fuels transformation across the healthcare industry. Associates join a technical track aligned to their interests and career goals, gaining hands-on experience, expanding their technical acumen, and collaborating across disciplines to solve real-world challenges in healthcare. The Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Track is designed for individuals passionate about maintaining scalable, resilient systems across on-prem and cloud environments. You’ll work with the latest in automation, containerization, and hybrid cloud to support customers and providers. What you’ll do Meaningful Work: Contribute to the design, deployment, and support of secure, scalable infrastructure and cloud environments while gaining experience with cloud platforms, automation, and enterprise systems that support healthcare innovation at The Cigna Group. Learn by Collaborating: Partner with peers, mentors, and cross-functional teams through collaborative projects and community initiatives. You’ll learn through collaboration while supporting innovation, recruiting, onboarding, and engagement efforts. Must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical program at the time of hire. Preferred degrees include Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network and Systems Engineering.  Technical Proficiencies: Cloud Engineering: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security and performance monitoring. Infrastructure: Exposure to include system administration (Windows), virtualization, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and tools for monitoring, configuration management, and network troubleshooting. Courses & Experiences: Academic coursework, research, or internships focused on machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or generative AI. Exposure to real-world applications of AI in healthcare or other industries is a plus. Well Rounded: Leadership or involvement in clubs, organizations, or technical competitions such as Hackathons, AI challenges, or research symposiums. Location: This position is based in the following office location: Bloomfield, CT. The role requires a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days per week working onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and one additional day of the employee’s choice), and the option to work the remaining days remotely.
