The Kitchen Steward is responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the kitchen and restaurants by maintaining cleanliness standards through the operation of dishwashing equipment and sinks, polishing silverware, removing garbage, and cleaning equipment and work areas, including the sweeping and mopping of floors. The Kitchen Steward will also assist in general food preparation for events. This role will pay an hourly rate of $10.00-$11.00. Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until November 13, 2026

The Arvest Convention Center , located in the Arena District in downtown Tulsa, is a modern and award-winning venue providing over 275,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Owned by the City of Tulsa for over 50 years, the ACC has been host to every kind of event imaginable and proudly serves the citizens of Tulsa and guests from around the world.

Ensures highest sanitation levels for all items previously used so that they may be used again in clean condition, free of any contamination risk. Utilizes and implements M.S.D.S. criteria, food and product safety, and food and beverage policies and procedures. Removes all trash and maintains loading and receiving areas in safe and clean condition. Stocks plates, glasses, pots, utensils, and pans after cleaning. Cleans and sanitizes all food service areas and equipment.

Experience working in a casual and/or fine dining kitchen atmosphere is helpful. High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred. Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. Working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements. Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment. Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state or federal regulations.
