Sr. Actuarial Consultant – Life Insurance Valuation REMOTE Build your expertise in life insurance valuation Join our Life Insurance Valuation team as a Sr. Actuarial Consultant and apply your actuarial knowledge to our life insurance products. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to accurate, efficient, and compliant valuation processes while developing expertise in evolving regulatory standards, actuarial modeling, data analysis, and reporting. You’ll work with experienced actuaries and cross-functional partners in Tax, Controllership, Pricing, and other business areas. Your contributions will help support monthly and quarterly valuation activities, strengthen processes, and advance the team’s modernized analytical environment. What you’ll do Apply actuarial knowledge to life insurance valuation activities for life products. Support the implementation and analysis of evolving standards, including Long-Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTI) and Principle-Based Reserving (PBR). Prepare, analyze, and explain results for assigned monthly and quarterly valuation deliverables. Develop and enhance tools used to validate and analyze valuation results. Collaborate with Tax, Controllership, Pricing, and other stakeholders to support business objectives. Follow established process controls, documentation, and governance requirements. Assist with responses to auditor and regulator inquiries by providing accurate, well-supported analysis. Participate in cross-functional initiatives involving actuarial data, modeling, assumptions, product development, analytics, and reporting. Identify opportunities to improve valuation processes, tools, and reporting. What you’ll bring ASA is required and work towards or achievement of the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) preferred. Knowledge of actuarial business functions and life insurance valuation principles. Experience with life insurance products and Statutory or GAAP valuation preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI. Exposure to actuarial modeling software such as AXIS, ALFA, or PolySystems preferred. Programming experience in Python or VB.NET is a plus. Ability to learn quickly, manage assigned priorities, and communicate technical information clearly to business partners.
