The Senior Manager, New Business Development is a newly created role responsible for identifying, researching, and shaping new business growth opportunities for the enterprise. This role owns the front end of the team's work: surfacing new business model ideas, conducting market analysis and competitive benchmarking, running due diligence, and building the financial and operational models that turn a promising idea into a credible business case. This person will work closely with the Future Business Operations Strategy Director and directly with the Finance organization to ensure new business models and their expected ROI are aligned and well-supported early in the process, before opportunities advance to broader stakeholder review. Role and Responsibilities Roles & Responsibility Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify new business channels, areas, and models worth pursuing. Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to proactively surface new business model opportunities for the team's portfolio. Synthesize research and market intelligence into clear, decision-ready recommendations for leadership. Lead due diligence on prospective new business opportunities, including market sizing, competitive positioning, and risk assessment. Build financial and operational models to evaluate the viability and expected return of new business opportunities. Partner with the Finance team early in the process to align business models, key assumptions, and ROI expectations before opportunities progress. Prepare business cases and supporting materials for review by the Future Business Operations Strategy Lead and senior stakeholders. Maintain and prioritize a pipeline of new business opportunities in partnership with the Future Business Operations Strategy Lead. Lead end-to-end management of strategic initiatives from ideation and opportunity assessment, through business case development, stakeholder alignment and planning, to execution and full implementation to ensure continuity and accountability across every stage. Build working relationships with Finance and relevant LOB stakeholders to gather input and validate assumptions. Contribute market and financial expertise to cross-LOB strategic initiatives as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, business development, investment banking, or management consulting. Demonstrated experience conducting market research, competitive benchmarking, and due diligence. Hands-on experience building financial and operational models to evaluate new business opportunities. Experience partnering with Finance teams on business case development and ROI analysis. Experience in Consumer Electronics, FinTech, Health, or Telecommunications a plus Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Excellent research and synthesis skills; able to distill complex information into clear recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leadership. Self-directed and comfortable operating
