Job Description: medium-scoped This is a hybrid role; the selected candidate will work a minimum of 2 days per week from HPE office in St. Laurent. We are the core UI team behind Aruba Central, a flagship platform for managing HPE Networking infrastructure. The product brings the self-driving network vision to life and helps maintain HPE Networking as an industry leader.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of UI features for cloud products using TypeScript and React (or equivalent frameworks), with guidance from senior team members. Translate product and technical requirements into clean, maintainable front-end components and application flows. Follow established front-end engineering standards, including code quality, accessibility, performance, and design consistency. Support the UI quality strategy by writing and maintaining automated tests (unit and end-to-end), including Jest and Cypress. Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and platform teams to support reliable integration, deployment, and observability of front-end services. Use AI-assisted coding responsibly to accelerate delivery, while validating output quality and flagging potential hallucinations. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, and apply feedback to improve implementation quality. Take ownership of small to medium scoped tasks and progressively expand responsibility across specific UI domains. Contribute to continuous improvement by learning and adopting relevant tools, frameworks, and engineering practices.
Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a closely related quantitative discipline. 1-5 years’ experience (internships and relevant project experience considered). Knowledge and Skills: Good programming skills in high-level Knowledge of React or another high level web framework (Angular, Vue.js…) AI-assisted coding. You use AI as a practical tool and you can detect low-quality or hallucinated output. Quality mindset. Cypress, Jest (UT) Atlassian tools ( Jira, Bitbucket ) or GitHub is a plus Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to teammates and stakeholders.
