Your goals and objectives include: Monitors and reviews past due accounts and follows up documents to determine the nature and extent of delinquency problems and any actions taken by patient’s or third party payers  Displays a hard work ethic and completes daily cooking and cleaning tasks Investigates delinquency cases to identify any special circumstances affecting payment delays and follow up with appropriate parties  Contact third party payer organizations and/or patients as necessary to facilitate the timely payment of past due charges or arranges alternative settlement plans  Complete financial counseling with patients to verify demographic/insurance information and to collect and/or arrange payment plans for patient responsibility  Identifies problem delinquencies and recommends their appropriate disposition (i.e., referral to collections agency, other legal action, or write-off)  Prepares and maintains records and reports documenting the status and amount of past due accounts in the timing and nature of their disposition  Insurance Verification Qualifications Your Qualifications and Requirements will include: Experience working as a Financial Counselor or in finance for 1-2 years preferred.
