This position will be located in Roy, UT. What You’ll Get To Do: This role will support production activities for the Transition to Production Team. The preferred candidate will be an individual with a bias for action, strategic thinking, data analysis, problem-solving, exceptional customer focus, communications, and a sound foundation in Industrial Engineering concepts, with an expertise in scheduling, manpower, and facility layouts. General skills and expectations within the role include: • Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering fundamentals (Production Intervals, Cycle Time, Takt Time, Standard Hour Content, Time Studies, EVMS, Continuous Improvement, Scheduling, Capacity Analysis, Facility Layouts) • Understand principles of capacity (efficiencies, standards, constraints, etc.) • Knowledge of manufacturing flows and how they interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain • Ability to create Shop Operation Plans for production units and track daily shop floor performance. • Ability to create Recovery Schedules for the production floor. • Understand labor standard development and work measurement. Create standard hour content for new scope. • Perform shop floor time studies on manufacturing and test activities. • Work with functional team to understand scheduling requirements at implementation sites • Ability to create detailed manufacturing waterfall schedules with setbacks to independent demands • Utilize process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction, etc.) • Design and optimize Shop Floor/Facility Layouts • Understand principals of cost management (Earned Value, Milestone payments) • Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) with Suppliers • Engage and collaborate with various product teams and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution • Utilize your strong organizational, planning and decision-making skills and the ability to work as a team member and with other members from different technical backgrounds • Ability to coordinate with larger teams at different site locations • Create and present technical briefings for upper management and technical leadership Position Benefits As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including • Medical, Dental & Vision coverage • 401k • Educational Assistance • Life Insurance • Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions • Paid Time Off • Health & Wellness Resources • Employee Discounts This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a
