Job Description We are seeking an individual contributor to join our Total Rewards team as Benefits Manager, India. You will be the local expert on all India benefits matters, executing on the regional strategy and delivery of employee benefits programs. The successful candidate will bring expertise in India's statutory and supplemental benefits landscape, strong executive presence, and the ability to influence decision making in a matrixed global organization. You will report to the Director, EMEA/APJ Benefits and work under the strategic direction of the Senior APJ Benefits Manager. Regional Strategy & Global Partnership Serve as the India benefits manager: act as the India expert, providing the APJ Lead with strategic market insights that directly inform regional benefits philosophy, design decisions, and policy frameworks. Execution of Global Benefits strategy within India, following global design while ensuring local relevance. Deliver the full lifecycle of India benefits programs: including health, risk, retirement, leave, and wellbeing - ensuring market competitiveness and full compliance with India labor law: EPF, ESI, gratuity, the Maternity Benefit Act, state-level requirements, and the evolving Labor Code consolidation framework. Stay current on legislative developments and proactively assess impact on program design and compliance. Vendor Management & Financial Stewardship Lead annual renewals and vendor management: drive benefits renewals, vendor performance reviews, and market benchmarking, partnering with brokers and consultants to deliver cost-effective, high-quality program design. Contribute to budget planning: including cost projections, utilization analysis, and financially sustainable enhancement recommendations with the analytical rigor expected of a senior finance partner. Stakeholder Partnership & Employee Experience Partner cross-functionally for seamless delivery: collaborate with the Senior Manager, APJ Benefits and the India Compensation lead to present a unified Total Rewards strategy, and work with FP&A, Legal, Payroll, People Operations, Communications, and Central HR Shared Services (People Care, HRBPs, Leave Administration) to ensure compliant program delivery and consistent employee support. Serve as the primary escalation point for employees: provide responsive, empathetic resolution of complex escalations while maintaining strict confidentiality and building trust across the employee population. Navigate complex matrix relationships: manage stakeholder partnerships across India leadership, APJ regional teams, US-headquartered Global Benefits, Finance, and Legal, external vendors, and Global Wellbeing program leads. Work across time zones, advocating effectively for India-appropriate solutions while maintaining global policy alignment. Handle executive escalations with sound judgment. M&A, Innovation & Agile Execution Support M&A activities: conduct benefits due diligence, plan harmonization, and employee communications for India acquisitions, operating as the regional expert in deal processes.
