Silicon Sourcing Manager, CPU

As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. Develop and implement comprehensive global sourcing strategies for CPUs, aligning with overall business objectives. Provide subject matter expertise (CPU, architectures, software, peripherals, system view). Identify, qualify, and onboard key suppliers fostering collaboration and open communication. Monitor performance against quality, delivery, and cost targets to drive continuous improvement and strong partnerships. Drive the end-to-end lifecycle, providing input on architecture definition, business negotiations/awards, execution, NPI/production ramp, and EOL. Drive cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and value engineering. Stay abreast of market trends, technological advancements, and the competitive landscape. Analyze market data to identify opportunities for cost savings, supply chain optimization, and risk mitigation. Work closely with Engineering, NPI, Product Management, Quality, Finance, and Legal to ensure alignment on sourcing requirements and supply planning.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or a related field. 12 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a specific focus on silicon/CPU. Experience in people management. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a technical or engineering field or MBA. Experience interfacing with and establishing relationships with senior management at both supplier and customer levels. Deep knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, quality standards, processor architectures, server infrastructure, and the broader data center computing ecosystem. Solid understanding of the CPU landscape, data center architectures, including silicon processes, packaging technologies, IP, manufacturing, and software/application layers. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, manage budgets, and perform complex cost modeling. Proven success in developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver measurable results.
