About this role
About Rivian Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract. As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
Role
Summary The Regional Specialist, Implementation and Readiness is responsible for directing regional launch readiness strategy and customer experience standards across a multi-market territory. This position is the ultimate organizational authority on launch readiness determinations, resource allocation, risk assessment, budget deployment, and recommendations that directly influence regional business outcomes. The Regional Specialist, Network Development and Readiness operates with substantial independent authority to plan, direct, and evaluate regional execution strategy while exercising judgment in ambiguous, fast-changing conditions. The role's core function is strategic and evaluative — assessing operational capability, setting priorities, advising and coaching field leadership, and making business recommendations.
Responsibilities
Independently determine launch readiness for new and existing locations, exercising discretion to approve, delay, or escalate a location's opening based on independent evaluation of operational, staffing, and brand-standard criteria. Direct and control the regional grand-opening and activation budget, with authority to allocate, reallocate, and approve spend across vendors and markets to maximize return on investment, without requiring pre-approval for standard allocation decisions within budget. Set regional launch and activation strategy, including sequencing of readiness work, prioritization of markets, and assignment of support resources, based on independent analysis of risk and business impact. Evaluate and advise on regional marketing calendars, creative assets, and event plans, exercising judgment to approve, reject, or require revision to ensure brand alignment and measurable ROI. Analyze regional performance data against KPIs and use that analysis to direct coaching priorities, reallocate support resources, and recommend operational or staffing changes to field leadership. Coach and advise field leadership and cross-functional partners (Network Development, Sales Enablement, Field Leadership) on launch strategy, operational standards, and event effectiveness, functioning as the regional subject-matter authority whose recommendations materially shape decisions. Establish and oversee self-assessment and feedback frameworks that enable local teams to sustain standards independently, reducing the need for direct oversight. Represent regional interests in cross-functional planning, aligning enterprise brand and operating standards to region-specific execution plans.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in marketing, facilities, field operations, hospitality, or event management, with a track record of exercising independent judgment in a fast-paced, multi-site environment — preferably within a premium or direct-to-consumer brand. Demonstrated experience independently managing site launches, activations, or high-volume operational programs, including budget authority and vendor management. Experience advising and influencing distributed field leadership remotely across a large geographic territory, without direct supervisory reporting lines. Strong analytical and organizational capability — able to synthesize performance data, assess risk, and make recommendations affecting multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines. Clear, structured communicator, capable of delivering evaluative feedback and leading structured business reviews with local leadership. Comfort
