Department Overview TD Asset Management Inc. As of December 3 1, 2 023 TDAM and its affiliates manage over CDN$ 4 1 0 billion in assets on behalf of pension, insurance, endowment / foundatio n and corporate clients, as well as high-net worth clients and retail mutual funds, across both active fundamental and quantitative-based solutions , private debts and alternative investments including real estate, infrastructure. Job Description (responsibilities, accountabilities, etc . ) A passion or demonstrated interest in markets/economics/current events is critical to success: The Intern will support the team with some or all of the following activities . Work with one of the following team s within TDAM - Fundamental Equitie s Research , Fixed Income or Asset Liability Management , Asset Allocation, Alternatives , or Investment Risk Managemen t . Build and maintain analytics to help facilitate portfolio decision making, data analysis or financial analysis to help understand and recommend investments or to better understand the macro-economic environment Help run and support mission critical reporting used by the portfolio managers and attend and participate in team meetings and investment discussions. Validate data to ensure the integrity of the data and information Support projects focused on the ongoing improvement of our processes Undertake projects touching on strategy, marketing, business and product development, portfolio management, finance, risk, governance, client service, operations and trading Skills that the student must have (specific technical, and other skills) Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail Good foundation in business acumen, capital markets, problem solving skills and analytical capabilities Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Strong verbal and written presentation skills Accuracy and attention to detail are essential Highly motivated individual with the willingness and flexibility to take on different initiatives Ability to operate within specialty software programs (e.g. Bloomberg, Factset, Thomson Reuters or Capital IQ etc . ) Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across teams to research fulsome solutions Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset Skills that are not required, but would be an asset (specific technical, and other skills) Microsoft Access , Python/SQL/Coding skills, financial modelling VBA and SQL Co-op e xperience in investment research, real estate, public and private securities analysis , risk management Other information Applications must include an unofficial university transcript, cover letter (one letter-sized page or less) and a
