The Corporate Strategy Group partners with R&D, Commercial and other leaders to drive mission-critical initiatives that support the long-term ambitions of the enterprise and make a meaningful difference for AbbVie’s patients. The Director, Corporate Strategy Group will be responsible for driving high-impact strategic initiatives, facilitating robust enterprise-level strategic planning, and monitoring and assessing AbbVie’s external environment. This highly visible role provides exposure to executive leadership and may serve as a pathway to broader leadership opportunities.

Facilitate enterprise discussions on external trends, competitor strategies and potential disruptors, and translate these to strategic choices Shape our corporate priorities; drive clarity and alignment on our sources of growth (therapeutic areas, modalities, platform capabilities, etc.) Lead high-priority strategic initiatives that will drive transformative change and position AbbVie for future success Provide targeted support for AbbVie’s long-range strategic planning process, including working with leaders to share their strategies with AbbVie’s Board of Directors Partner with and advise senior leadership team on topics relevant to their own functional areas Support communication of AbbVie’s strategy across the enterprise Qualifications Master’s degree required; PhD or other advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Medicine, Sciences, etc.) preferred Minimum of three years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm with healthcare experience Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and drive alignment across senior leaders; ability to influence without authority Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of financial concepts Strong oral, facilitation, and written communication skills with ability to distill complex information into clear messages and deliverables Executive presence, comfort with ambiguity, and strong judgment This is a hybrid role requiring at least three (3) days onsite, Tuesday through Thursday, in our North Chicago, IL offices.
