About Us
Jar is India’s leading Daily Saving app that helps people build strong saving habits—one small step at a time. Our goal is to make saving simple, rewarding, and truly life-changing. Founded in 2021 by Misbah Ashraf and Nishchay AG, Jar is a Bengaluru-based startup with one simple belief: saving a little every day in 24K Digital Gold can truly transform your future. Today, 20 million+ Indians trust Jar as their saving partner. With flexible saving options—Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Instant Saving—we have made it easy for everyone to save in their own way and withdraw anytime. We are one of the leaders in UPI autopay transactions, crossing more than 1 million transactions per day. In 2023, we expanded our vision with Nek, our jewelry brand crafted to bring together luxury and affordability, it has since surpassed ₹100 crore in revenue. We have a big dream of bringing “Har Ghar Sona”. Small, consistent savings are just the start. We’re here to walk alongside our users, helping Indians secure their financial future every step of the way. Backed by Tiger Global Management, Arkam Ventures, and WEH Ventures, among others, we have raised $50 million+ in funding. In January 2025, we hit a huge milestone of becoming profitable. Now, we’re charging ahead, focused on sustainable growth and scaling impact. And this is just the beginning! What’s the role? Jar's gold savings business is the core of the company. It serves first-time digital savers, largely outside the metros, and it moves real money every day. We are looking for a Growth Lead to own it end to end. This is a P&L-shaped role rather than a channel-shaped one. You will own gold GMV and every input that produces it: activating new savers, increasing the frequency and ticket size of existing ones, retaining them, winning back the ones who have gone quiet, and expanding them into adjacent products. The measure of success is a durable change in the slope of the business, not a good quarter. The distinction that matters most to us is how you get there. We are looking for someone who drives growth primarily through product, and uses campaigns, lifecycle and comms to amplify what the product has already earned. Teams that lean on discounting and notification volume can hold a number for a quarter. They cannot compound. You will have a cross-functional pod of product managers, growth managers, analysts and lifecycle owners to do this properly, and you will own the roadmap that directs them. You will report to the VP of Growth who currently holds this scope alongside Jar's jewellery vertical and new business lines. You will be reviewed on the business and its narrative, not on individual projects. What will be your responsibilities? Own the GMV equation Decompose gold GMV into its constituent inputs and maintain a clear point of view on which input is binding in any given quarter. Set the roadmap and sequencing across activation, frequency, retention, win-back and cross-sell, and defend the trade-offs between them. Carry the number. Report performance and the reasoning behind it directly to leadership. Grow revenue per user Increase transaction frequency and ticket size through changes to the saving experience: habit loops, goals, streaks, visible progress, and the moments that bring a user back unprompted. Identify and close leakage across the transactional spine - accumulation flows, autopay, withdrawals and liquidation, pricing, rewards and refunds. Build the cross-sell and upsell path into Jar's wider surface without cannibalising core saving behaviour. Retain and win back Own retention as a product problem. Diagnose why cohorts decay and fix the reasons, rather than managing the symptom through lifecycle messaging. Segment dormant and churned users by cause of departure and build differentiated win-back paths for each. Drive experimentation Design and run a high-throughput experiment programme with clear
