Department Overview TDEF (TD Equipment Finance) is a leading Canadian specialized equipment financing business with the mandate to support all parts of TD Bank in this product set. TDEF structures loans and leases to help clients grow their business and sources business from TD customers and directly across Canada.
Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Audit - TD Equipment Finance (TDEF), this position is responsible for the booking and funding of lease and loan transactions in TDEF's book of record, EKIP, while ensuring adherence to compliance requirements in accordance with TD Bank's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Leverage proficiency in various software applications and programs to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions; maintain knowledge of T-Value, PPSA/RDPRM requirements, and AML/KYC policies and procedures. Review standard documentation for accuracy; verify that insurance coverage aligns with bank and credit conditions; ensure vendor and client banking details are compliant; validate EKIP inputs prior to booking; and prepare wires to initiate the funding process. Review PPSA/RDPRM registrations against deal structure for accuracy and perfection and, as required, confirm all identified waivers are obtained and properly executed. Collaborate with Operations and Credit departments, or other functions as necessary, to facilitate completion of transactions. Assist in identifying viable solutions to resolve transactional issues. Actively participate in special projects as assigned by management. Deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction and execute plans to improve the customer experience. Pursue cross-training opportunities. Actively participate in the performance management process, including performance reviews, feedback, coaching sessions, and performance and development discussions. Embrace and promote a positive environment that supports a diverse workplace. Act as a strong team player by assisting with other administrative tasks as needed. Maintain a service-level focus with an emphasis on attention to detail. Be knowledgeable and comply with Bank and industry codes of conduct. Job Requirements Must work independently, be self-sufficient, and be able to make decisions. Moderate knowledge of different types of financing structures. Able to manage daily transactions while maintaining a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Strong time management skills and independence with respect to setting priorities and managing partner expectations. Must possess the ability to multitask. Will work closely in a team environment to meet individual and team-driven objectives. Should be conscientious and detail-oriented to mitigate any risk to the Bank. Must demonstrate the ability to be resourceful and take initiative in their approach to problem resolution. Ability to quickly learn new systems and applications. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Education and Experience
2+ years of leasing experience preferred. College or university graduate
