Job Description
AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Philadelphia on October 7-8, 2026. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027. The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines. On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Philadelphia office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. AECOM's Digital Practice and Technology group is seeking a BIM Intern for their office in Newark, DE or Philadelphia, PA. This position is expected to begin June 2027. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Internships are designed to introduce and build essential hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or Architecture and have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship. Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of point cloud, LiDAR, and survey data and their application within BIM and digital engineering workflows. Understanding of how survey and point cloud data is collected, processed, and incorporated into 3D models and design platforms. Basic knowledge and understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within BIM environments. Willingness to travel to project sites for model validation, field coordination, data collection, and project support activities. Demonstrated desire to learn and adapt to new software applications, digital workflows, and emerging technologies. Interest in advancing skills related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, scripting, coding, and data-driven BIM solutions . Familiarity with programming languages or tools such
