Discover Impactful Work: Join our dedicated Unity Lab Services team as a Sr. Lab Services Specialist, where we provide seamless support tailored to our customers' unique needs. In this role, you will coordinate critical lab support activities, including freezer defrost services, backup freezer management, pipette calibration and repair, and lab coat services. You will serve as a primary point of contact for customers and vendors, independently managing service requests, resolving issues, monitoring performance, and ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures. A day in the Life: Coordinate and oversee laboratory support services, including freezer defrost activities, backup freezer assignments, pipette calibration and repair, and lab coat services, ensuring timely execution and continuity of customer operations. Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and vendors, providing professional and responsive support, coordinating service requests, addressing concerns, resolving issues within established turnaround times, and escalating risks or service disruptions as appropriate. Independently manage daily service activities and priorities, exercising sound judgment and utilizing available resources to meet customer requirements, service expectations, and site objectives with limited supervision. Maintain, analyze, and reconcile operational records, work orders, reports, and performance metrics to ensure customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific requirements are met; communicate results, trends, and potential issues to site leadership and applicable stakeholders. Promote a safe, compliant, and quality-focused work environment by following applicable Best Practices, SOPs, GMP requirements, and work instructions; completing required training; and supporting safety initiatives, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), PPE assessments, and development or maintenance of work instructions. Provide technical expertise, guidance, and training to team members, supporting knowledge transfer, consistent execution of processes, employee development, and adoption of new or updated policies, procedures, and systems. Support and lead continuous improvement and site initiatives, including Practical Process Improvement (PPI), cost-savings opportunities, process improvements, training activities, team meetings, documentation, and individual or cross-functional projects. Collaborate effectively across diverse teams and represent Thermo Fisher Scientific professionally in all customer interactions while effectively utilizing client and Thermo Fisher Scientific systems, including work order applications, Intranet resources, SharePoint, and other applicable business tools. Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Good x Practice (GxP) environment or laboratory setting experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety-first approach. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
