Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Flight Inspector – Level 1 or Level 2 to join our team in Promontory, UT.  Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Flight Inspector Level 1 or Level 2 to join our Receiving Inspection Team in Promontory, UT . This position sits at the front-line of our flight hardware quality gate, ensuring that all incoming material — from EEE components to complex assemblies — meets contractual, configuration, and documentation requirements before acceptance into production. If you bring disciplined inspection execution, a systems mindset, and direct experience with AS9100 or SQAR environments, we want to hear from you. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Collect representative samples in accordance with engineering, regulatory, and laboratory requirements.   Verify material identification and ensure traceability during the fabrication and testing process.   Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tools, areas, and equipment.   Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored following engineering and planning requirements.   Communicate any inconsistencies, deviations, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.   Adhere to safety and hygiene standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).   Support inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.   Maintain laboratory infrastructure including sample preparation and equipment set-ups and breakdown .   Maintain neat and accurate records to company standards .   Work with LIMS, Quality, and inventory databases to track material and test results .   Candidate will be expected to maintain a high standard of operational discipline to support clean, safe, and efficient operations .   Other duties as assigned    This position can be filled at either a Level 1 or Level 2. Basic Qualifications for Level 1: High School diploma or equivalent and 0+ years additional education and/or related experience.    No clearance required to start Knowledge of performing inspection for proper identity and dimensional conformance E x perience with use of scientific instrumentation and equipment . Experience with handling and disposal of hazardous materials . Excellent verbal and written communication skills .   Excellent time management and organizational skills .   Strong hands-on work ethic and can-do attitude .   Demonstrated attention to detail .   Must be disciplined to follow detailed instructions and comply to procedures .   Basic Qualifications for Level 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.    No clearance required to start Knowledge of performing inspection for proper identity and dimensional conformance E x perience with use of scientific instrumentation and equipment .
