DESCRIPTION: Join our Cell Biology team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Product Specialist III, where you'll drive revenue growth and expand market share through technical sales excellence in protein expression solutions. You'll deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations that showcase the capabilities and value of our protein expression portfolio. As a trusted advisor, you'll partner closely with Marketing, Product Managers, and Field Application Scientists to identify opportunities, develop sales strategies, and drive both continued business with existing customers and new business. In this role, you'll leverage your deep technical knowledge and sales acumen to build strong customer relationships and close complex sales opportunities. You'll translate customer needs into tailored solutions, working collaboratively across cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Your contributions will be essential in achieving sales targets, expanding our protein expression market presence, and supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS
Advanced degree plus 2 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in technical support, product quality assurance, technical sales, or related field. Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Engineering or related discipline. Hands-on experience with protein expression workflows, including protein production, cloning, and purification techniques, with particular emphasis on expression experience. Strong technical knowledge in life sciences, cell biology, and related scientific disciplines, with a passion for continuous learning within product portfolio workflow and applications. Strong sales acumen with analytical and strategic planning capabilities, including forecasting and business reviews (MBRs, QBRs), and ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscape. Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with ability to explain complex technical concepts. Experience developing and conducting technical training and product demonstrations. Experience using CRM (Salesforce) systems. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability for field travel 50-75% within assigned territory. Valid driver's license.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $70,800.00–$106,200.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
