Overview
The Senior Manager, Market Access & Strategic Accounts, reports to the Associate Director and is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and implementation of product and skills-based training. Training will be delivered through eLearning, live meetings, virtual programs, and on-demand courses. Responsibilities include managing the Market Access and Strategic Accounts training curriculum; developing and securing approval of training materials; and ensuring the compliant delivery of training programs. The Senior Manager will collaborate cross-functionally within a matrixed organization, partnering with commercial leadership, field teams, marketing, Market Access, headquarters teams, Medical, Legal, and external vendors to identify training needs and define deliverables. This role will support Health Systems Directors, the Alternative Site of Care Team, Federal Reimbursement Directors and Managers, Federal Account Leads, National Account Leads, and Regional Account Leads.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, facilitation, and continuous improvement of instructor-led, virtual, live, blended, and digital learning programs. Support national meetings, workshops, onboarding programs, and other critical business events requiring learning expertise. Ensure training programs are delivered on time and meet established quality and business requirements. Develop and implement post-training tools to evaluate training effectiveness, and partner with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the curriculum based on organizational needs. Maintain role-based learning journeys for new hires, experienced field representatives, and Senior Directors. Partner with key Market Access and Strategic Accounts stakeholders—including Health Systems Directors, the Alternative Site of Care Team, Federal Reimbursement Directors and Managers, Federal Account Leads, National Account Leads, Regional Account Leads, Marketing, and leadership—to ensure training content is relevant across all phases of learning and aligned with strategic initiatives. Partner with field trainers and facilitators to ensure consistent delivery and execution across new-hire cohorts. Lead strategic relationships with external learning vendors, consultants, and technology partners that support Market Access and Health Systems Director learning initiatives. Manage the review and approval of training materials to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and medical requirements and alignment with stakeholder expectations. Maintain transparent communication with internal stakeholders. Incorporate AI-enabled authoring, practice, coaching, and assessment tools into the learning ecosystem for Health Systems Directors and Market Access teams. Use learning analytics and performance data to identify capability gaps and inform targeted interventions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of the payer and reimbursement landscape required. Knowledge of Strategic Accounts preferred. A minimum of 7–8 years of pharmaceutical industry experience required; experience in Commercial Strategic Accounts or Market Access preferred. Experience supporting Market Access, Strategic Accounts, reimbursement, or related customer-facing teams preferred. A minimum of 5–6 years of training experience in a headquarters role or as a field trainer required. Experience supporting product launches or major commercial initiatives. Demonstrated project management and process-improvement skills. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams to develop training that strengthens organizational talent. Working knowledge of adult-learning principles preferred. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Ability to travel up to 20%. #LI-SS1
