Summary The Edison Works organization is a key growth area within GE Aerospace with engine output expected to grow significantly over the next few years. This cross functional organization consists of program management, operations, engineering, supply chain, digital technology, and security who are partnering to transform and deliver that growth. Within Edison Works Digital Technology, GE is seeking an experienced Product Owner/TPM to join our Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) team. In this role you will develop new capabilities that will transform how GE Aerospace designs, manufactures, assembles, and validates our next generation aircraft engines. You will partner with product management teams to create a clear strategic direction for product needs and convey that vision to the build and/or operations team. You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders: Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Product Owners and Developers. Key areas of focus will be standardizing digital products/integrations and processes to enable scalable growth in the use of the technologies.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities In this role, you will: Own the relationship between business process needs and Solumina MOM capabilities, serving as the DT functional expert for the platform. Lead requirements gathering, solution definition, and prioritization with stakeholders across manufacturing sites and headquarters. Drive integration strategy and execution across Solumina, SAP, PLM, MES, and ERP systems. Establish KPIs and success measures to improve adoption, process performance, and business value. Build and maintain the product roadmap, implementation plans, and cross-functional delivery alignment. Partner with users, leaders, and technical teams to gather feedback, resolve issues, and continuously improve the solution. Influence product direction through collaboration with internal GE Aerospace teams and external product/vendor discussions where applicable. Provide domain leadership in MOM/MES processes, manufacturing operations, and enabling technologies.
Minimum Requirement
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Technical Product Ownership/Product Management or Information Technology. Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience Eligibility Requirement Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Due to the nature of the work being performed, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.
Desired Skills
Deep domain depth in smart factory and manufacturing business processes. Experience implementing MES and production optimizations products preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of Model Based Enterprise concepts. Experience with SCRUM/Agile software development methods. Understanding of Lean continuous improvement principles and methods. Basic knowledge of Computational Geometry concepts/application (e.g., NX). Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) configuration and customization (e.g., Teamcenter).
