As an Operations Specialist in Documentation Management, you review derivatives and financing legal agreements and extract key legal and financial parameters for accurate capture in internal systems. You partner with legal, credit, business, operations, and technology to resolve documentation issues and support an efficient operating framework. You contribute to regulatory-driven change initiatives, including client transfers between legal entities, while maintaining strong quality and productivity standards.
Job Responsibilities
Review legal agreements such as International Swaps and Derivatives Association agreements, Credit Support Annexes, financing agreements, prime brokerage agreements, and trade-related documentation. Extract key legal and financial parameters from documentation with careful interpretation of terms and obligations. Index extracted parameters into internal systems using defined controls and data-quality expectations. Identify exceptions, disputes, and documentation gaps that could impact downstream processing or regulatory outcomes. Coordinate with internal partners (including legal and credit) to drive timely resolution of disputed points within required time frames. Collaborate with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to improve documentation workflows and operating practices. Support regulatory projects affecting markets documentation and client setup, including client transfers between legal entities. Engage with regional legal operations teams to align on documentation handling and stakeholder expectations. Maintain productivity and quality standards through consistent execution and attention to detail. Adapt to business coverage needs through flexibility in work scheduling requirements. Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities: Demonstrate 1+ years of experience reviewing derivatives master agreements and other trade-related documentation within an investment banking or law firm environment. Apply working knowledge of derivative legal documents, including International Swaps and Derivatives Association agreements and Credit Support Annexes. Use Microsoft Office tools to support documentation review, parameter capture, and tracking. Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats with internal stakeholders. Prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple items in parallel. Execute accurately with strong attention to detail and a deadline-focused approach. Partner effectively across functions to resolve issues and align on outcomes. Organize work using structured tracking and strong time management practices. Work well in a team environment while also operating independently when required. Hold a completed undergraduate degree. Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities: Bring academic background in law or commerce. Show familiarity with regulatory-driven documentation initiatives in markets operations. Exposure to AI-enabled tools and willingness to adopt emerging technologies that support process improvement and operational excellence.
