Job Description
AECOM is delivering some of the most complex and exciting aviation infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. From major international airports and regional aviation hubs to Defence airfields and airside infrastructure, our Aviation & Pavements team is helping shape the future of aviation across the region. Based in Melbourne, this is an opportunity to join a highly respected team with a strong pipeline of airport, airfield and pavement projects already underway, while playing a key role in the continued growth of our Aviation business across Victoria and ANZ. You will work alongside industry-leading technical specialists and be connected to AECOM’s global aviation network, including more than 850 aviation professionals worldwide. As a Technical Director, you will provide technical leadership, project direction and client engagement across a diverse portfolio of aviation and pavement projects. How you’ll make a difference Lead the delivery of complex aviation and pavement projects across Melbourne and the wider ANZ region Build and strengthen relationships with airport operators, Defence clients, contractors and key industry stakeholders Drive technical excellence across aviation pavement design, asset management and airside infrastructure projects Support business development, work winning and strategic growth initiatives across the aviation market Lead multidisciplinary teams through planning, design and project delivery phases Provide project oversight as a Project Director, Design Manager or Senior Project Manager Contribute to the development and execution of AECOM's ANZ Aviation strategy Collaborate with AECOM's Global Aviation Technical Academy and international aviation network to bring world-class expertise to local projects Qualifications The qualities that help you thrive The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered. 15+ years' experience in aviation infrastructure, airfield engineering and/or pavement engineering Strong experience in aviation pavement design, pavement assessments and airside infrastructure projects Demonstrated success leading the delivery of complex infrastructure projects from planning through to construction support Experience managing key client relationships and developing new business opportunities Proven leadership capability with experience mentoring and developing technical teams Strong understanding of
