Department Manager, Gas ENG Welding Ctr. of Excellence

The Department Manager oversees all engineering and field activities for the Welding Center of Excellence (WCoE). This role requires the expertise to provide consulting and support across varying levels of complexity for welding processes used in natural gas transmission, extra-high-pressure, distribution, and steam pipeline construction. The manager supports the development and implementation of new nondestructive examination (NDE) techniques and maintains effective relationships with regulators and inspected organizations to minimize regulatory and corporate noncompliance. The manager is also required to participate in relevant industry organizations and attend industry events to stay current on best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments. The manager also communicates analysis results and recommended actions to senior management. This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.
