While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we're focusing on Sydney so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing. This role is a 6-month engagement, working full-time hours.

What you'd be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on: Creating engaging social content for Canva's paid social channels — turning ideas into scroll-stopping content that's on-brand, culturally relevant, and impactful Owning social-first video production end-to-end: ideating, scripting, shooting, editing, and optimising content for high-performing growth campaigns Translating growth objectives into engaging creative by developing ideas that are both trend-savvy and performance-minded Testing, learning, and iterating to uncover what drives engagement and conversion on emerging social platforms Collaborating closely with growth marketers, analysts, and designers to bring data-informed storytelling to life Acting as a face of Canva when needed — on TikTok or other channels — to add a human, authentic voice to our brand You're probably a match if You live and breathe short-form video and instinctively know how to communicate within seconds You're a keen observer of internet culture and emerging trends, with a knack for turning insights into content that connects You balance creative flair with an understanding of what drives engagement and conversions You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can find a path to clarity without a perfect playbook to follow You're technically skilled across camera operation, lighting, editing (CapCut, Adobe Suite, Canva Video), and sound design You have a bias for action — no task is too small if it helps the team move faster and hit its goals About the team You'll be joining Canva's in-house Growth Creative team, part of the broader in-house creative group on a mission to make Canva one of the most locally loved brands in the world. The Growth Creative team crafts social-first, high-performing ads designed to boost direct business conversions — focused on growing Monthly Active Users and driving revenue through innovative, engaging campaigns. It's a fast-moving team that values creative instinct paired with ruthless prioritisation.
