Reporting to the HSE Manager – Environment, this role will work closely within and across teams, technical specialists, and external partners to ensure Chevron environmental activities are planned and executed in compliance with regulatory obligations and Chevron environmental standards, while promoting effective environmental stewardship and performance. Key responsibilities include: Lead the implementation of regulatory approvals associated with operations, wells and major capital projects and provide technical environmental advice to key stakeholders. Provide leadership on matters associated with key environmental aspects including waste, air emissions, subsea noise and water. Engage with key internal stakeholders to proactively identify environmental data gaps and provide technical environmental advice to support informed decision‑making on current and future environmental risks and issues. Undertake environmental risk assessments, ALARP assessments, MOC Environmental Functional Reviews and collate/coordinate data from all sources to support regulatory reporting Lead / support continuous improvement of environmental programs and associated tools and documentation including environmental information management. about you We know our greatest resource is the ingenuity, creativity, and innovation of our people. We are looking for Environmental Specialist who is hands on, safety focused, and collaborative. To be considered for this role, applicants should have: A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, or related discipline. Demonstrated experience supporting environmental compliance and approvals within the resources, energy, or heavy industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of Commonwealth and Western Australian environmental legislation, regulatory frameworks, and approval processes. Experience undertaking environmental risk assessments, ALARP assessments, management of change reviews, and environmental assurance activities. Proven ability to interpret environmental data and provide practical, risk-based technical advice to support business decision-making. Experience managing environmental reporting obligations, environmental management plans, and regulatory submissions. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams and with external regulators and technical experts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear technical reports and present environmental matters to a range of audiences.
