About the role

In Alcoa Corporation’s Finance Leadership Development Rotational Program, you’ll have the opportunity to work and learn at one of the world’s most respected companies including being named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index . Alcoa is a global organization that offers diverse opportunities, exciting challenges and the chance to apply your skills within a world-class finance organization.  In August of each year, the new financial analysts begin their work rotating through four challenging assignments (six months each) in Alcoa’s Finance organization.  The rotations give the analysts first-hand exposure to Alcoa’s business processes and values.  The program also emphasizes professional development with formal and informal feedback, and exposure to executives throughout the rotation.  The rotational assignments are based at Alcoa’s corporate center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At the end of the two-year program, the analysts will ideally be placed as an analyst in one of our Resource Units or at one of Alcoa’s production locations.  The program is designed to develop the analysts to take the next step in their finance careers, and ultimately, in their careers as Alcoa business leaders. Key responsibilities within the four rotational assignments include: Financial Planning & Analysis Develop and analyze financial reporting used by Alcoa’s senior business leaders Support business planning and forecasting decisions across Alcoa’s operations Analyze performance against key financial metrics Partner with plant finance teams to analyze operating results and variances and identify business challenges and opportunities. Financial Accounting Contribute to the monthly close and external financial reporting processes Evaluate how emerging accounting requirements affect the business Collaborate with team members to develop new or improved accounting policies or procedures Communicate the financial implications of accounting and business matters to plant and legal-entity leaders. Internal Audit Evaluate Alcoa’s business processes, internal controls, and management systems Assess processes and controls at corporate and operating locations Support evaluations of internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities to business leaders Treasury/Investor Relations Build experience across Treasury activities, which may include cash management, corporate finance, insurance risk management, and digital treasury Analyze financial information and contribute to projects supporting liquidity, capital structure, risk management, and investor communications Partner with Treasury and Investor Relations professionals on high-priority initiatives  Your education is just beginning!  Beyond challenging work assignments, we’ll help you learn through: Corporate and finance-specific training Orientations to place your knowledge in the context of Alcoa’s businesses    Program mentors who will share years of experience and help you to choose the best path for your interests What you can bring to the role: A Bachelor's degree in business – Accounting or Finance majors preferred A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, with a major GPA of 3.2 or higher Courses in basic accounting completed with at least a "B" average A graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027 Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
