Senior Product Manager

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help define and deliver the next generation of Word experiences, with AI and Microsoft 365 Copilot at the center.  In this role, you will identify high-value customer problems, set a clear product strategy, and lead cross-functional teams from insight through launch and iteration. You will balance customer value, responsible AI, product quality, accessibility, performance, and business outcomes across desktop, web, and mobile.

Set product direction: Develop a customer-backed vision, strategy, and roadmap for priority Word scenarios; translate ambiguous opportunities into clear product bets and measurable outcomes.  Lead AI-first experiences: Define Copilot and agentic workflows that improve authoring, comprehension, editing, and document intelligence while meeting responsible AI, privacy, security, and compliance requirements.  Understand customers deeply: Combine qualitative research, market and competitive insights, support signals, experimentation, and product telemetry to identify unmet needs and prioritize investments.  Drive end-to-end execution: Write crisp product requirements, define success metrics, manage trade-offs, and partner with design, engineering, data science, research, marketing, and go-to-market teams from concept through general availability.  Deliver quality at scale: Champion reliability, performance, accessibility, localization, and platform consistency across Windows, Mac, web, iOS, and Android.  Experiment and learn: Establish hypotheses, design experiments, analyze results, and use evidence to iterate, scale, or stop investments.  Influence across boundaries: Build alignment across Microsoft 365, Copilot, platform, and partner teams; communicate decisions, risks, and progress clearly to senior leaders.  Represent the customer: Engage with enterprise, education, consumer, and developer audiences to validate direction and build durable feedback loops.  Raise the product craft: Model inclusive leadership, solid judgment, growth mindset, and rigorous product practices; mentor peers and contribute to a high-performing team culture.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development. OR equivalent experience.

Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development; or equivalent experience.  Demonstrated experience defining product strategy and delivering customer-facing software or services through multiple stages of the product lifecycle.  Experience partnering closely with engineering and design teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.  Solid analytical skills, including the ability to define metrics, interpret product data, and make decisions under uncertainty.  Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex technical and customer topics for diverse audiences.  Experience building AI-powered, productivity, collaboration, content-creation, or enterprise SaaS products.  Understanding of large language models, retrieval, agents, evaluation
