What We’re Doing Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies. The Work The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a Software Engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. Common responsibilities of a software engineer on the RA ART team include: Software development in the Java language for one of the Regional Applications teams in Colorado Springs, CO (User Interface, Enterprise Services, Sys Architecture).  Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas. Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. Work from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.  Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met. Basic Qualifications 
 Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in software engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with 3+ years of related experience  Experience and knowledge of software practices such as coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines and configuration. Understanding of software engineering and software development with Java/J2EE experience or alternate OO development experience (additional experience with C++ also desired). Must have excellent oral and written
