Strategic Competitive Bid Analyst - Level 4

Standard Job Description 
 The Positioning-to-Win (PTW) Analyst performs analysis for selected opportunities. Must work closely with capture teams while remaining independent, and analyze recent and emerging competitor, customer and industry trends to determine impacts on source selections and competitor offers/solutions. The position involves collecting data, analyzing a wide variety of approaches, applications, and solutions/technologies for a diverse set of new business pursuits. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to develop detailed knowledge of customer buying patterns, competitor bid tendencies, market and environment influences, and assess competitor technical/business strategies and capabilities and the resulting impact on win strategies, to include pricing and solution/offer design. Tasks require knowledge and understanding of current technology and industry trends, engineering disciplines, rapid development of high level architectures, architecture and/or manufacturing processes and disciplines, and business case analysis, to develop competitor bidding strategies to include cost/price modeling and solution estimation/development. The analyst must be able to develop multiple perspectives through development of a highly interactive live or virtual team, provide timely PTW recommendations, and justify those recommendations with data, analysis and insights. The analyst must also present PTW recommendations to capture teams and executive level decision-makers to enable comprehensive, situation-based decision making. The position involves frequent presentations to senior executives and includes the facilitation of Black Hat events. Basic Qualifications 
 • Strong communication and facilitation experience  • Prior experience performing or utilizing Position-To-Win, Price-to-Win or cost estimating in the defense industry • Prior experience performing or utilizing competitive intelligence and analysis • Experience with financial strategies • Experienced in conducting research and performing market analysis • Experience with Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Share Point • Must have ability to obtain a Secret security clearance Desired Skills 
 •  Lockheed Martin Aero business area acumen •  Defense industry knowledge / expertise •  Defense industry cost estimating experience •  Pre-proposal color review facilitation and leadership •  MBA or Masters Degree in a finance-related or technical discipline •  Demonstrated performance in strategic analysis role •  Track record of successful performance •  Extensive new business capture experience Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00 At  Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
