The Site Supervisors will play a key role in observing, documenting, and verifying that construction activities are carried out in accordance with Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings, project specifications, and the overall design intent. Working closely with the Contract Administrator and Project Manager, the Engineer of Record (EOR), contractors, and the broader project team, the Site Supervisors will support the delivery of construction phase engineering services by monitoring field activities and ensuring that design requirements are properly implemented on site. These roles are suited for technically oriented professionals with strong field inspection and construction observation experience on complex municipal heavy civil infrastructure projects such as watermain and sewer replacement/construction, road rehabilitation and paving, construction of multi-use paths, street lighting and driveway modifications. The Site Supervisors will contribute to effective coordination between the design and construction teams, helping identify potential design issues early and supporting timely resolution of field-related queries. Role accountabilities: The Site Supervisor will support the Contract Administrator and Project Manager by performing regular site observations of construction activities related to rail, transit, and infrastructure works. The role involves documenting and recording all required hold points, witness points, and observations as defined in the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and other construction management procedures. The Site Supervisor will also be responsible for developing and maintaining inspection, surveillance, and progress tracking tools to support the construction management team in monitoring construction status, documentation requirements, and outstanding technical actions. In collaboration with the contractor and project stakeholders, the Site Supervisor will communicate field observations, potential non-conformances, and design-related issues to the Engineer of Record (EOR) and project team. The role will also support coordination with the contractor’s representatives to facilitate site surveillance activities, respond to technical queries, and assist in resolving issues related to Requests for Information (RFIs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Field Change Requests. The Site Supervisor will participate in site coordination and progress meetings, providing input on construction progress and design-related matters. The role may also involve supporting the design team in the review of shop drawings, material submittals, and Inspection Test Plans where these relate to site conditions and field implementation. Throughout all site activities, the Site Supervisor will promote Arcadis’ commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship while maintaining effective communication and coordination among the project team.
