About this role

Job Title Trade Compliance Manager, Master Data & Controls Job Description Trade Compliance Manager, Master Data & Controls Our Trade Compliance Master Data & Controls Manager will own the operational framework required to ensure Philips Respironics import/export part-number data, trade documentation, and broker-facing compliance information are complete, accurate, current, and actionable. You will create and maintain a controlled trade compliance data-management system that ensures every active/imported/exported part number has the required master data, documentation, regulatory flags, and ownership needed to support compliant and efficient customs clearance.

Your role

Will serve as the single point of accountability for trade master data readiness across SAP plant names, Philips trade databases, customs broker platforms, and internal business workflows. The role will convert today’s reactive, RFI-driven process into a controlled, visible, governed system that enables proactive compliance execution, faster customs clearance, reduced broker escalations, and stronger regulatory readiness. Own Trade Master Data Governance: Lead the accuracy, completeness, and visibility of import/export trade compliance data across SAP, product master systems, trade databases, and broker platforms. Establish data standards, governance processes, and controls to ensure critical trade attributes such as classifications, country of origin, regulatory indicators, and supporting documentation are maintained and audit-ready. Drive Broker and System Alignment: Ensure trade compliance data is synchronized across SAP, invoices, broker databases, and other trade repositories to prevent shipment delays and clearance issues. Proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies, while managing broker inquiries through root-cause correction rather than one-time transactional fixes. Manage Regulatory Compliance and Change Control: Partner with trade, customs, legal, and compliance stakeholders to monitor evolving import/export regulations and assess their impact on affected products and parts. Build structured change-management processes to update systems, validate data, document compliance actions, and confirm broker readiness for regulatory changes. Lead Cross-Functional Issue Resolution: Collaborate with engineering, procurement, planning, logistics, warehouse operations, quality, finance, suppliers, and trade teams to close data gaps and resolve compliance risks. Develop clear workflows, accountability structures, escalation paths, and governance forums to ensure timely resolution of high-risk trade issues. Build Reporting, Controls, and Continuous Improvement: Create dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting to track trade data quality, compliance risks, broker holds, documentation gaps, and overall readiness. Develop SOPs, playbooks, and standardized processes while leveraging automation, analytics, workflow tools, and AI to improve efficiency, data validation, and exception management. You're the right fit if: You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, import/export operations, master data, logistics, regulatory operations, or supply chain controls. Working knowledge of import/export compliance concepts, including HTS/HS classification, country of origin, customs documentation, IOR, PGA/FDA requirements, valuation, and recordkeeping. Experience in medical device, healthcare, regulated manufacturing, or complex global supply chains, nice to have. Your skills include SAP, ERP master data, trade compliance systems, broker platforms, or structured operational databases as well as strong Excel, reporting, data-quality, and analytical skills. Nice to have are a familiarity with SAP GTS, SAP material master, customs broker portals, Power BI, workflow tools, or AI-enabled analytics. Knowledge of FDA import processes, AD/CVD, Section 232, ECCN/export controls, and broker entry processes as well as Customs Broker
