Position

Summary Cardinal Health Specialty Pharmaceutical Distribution supports specialty provider offices by delivering pharmaceutical distribution, technology, and practice solutions that enhance access to specialty therapies. Serving community-based specialty practices, the organization helps providers improve operational performance, streamline drug procurement and inventory management, optimize reimbursement processes, and deliver high-quality patient care. The National Sales Director will provide leadership and strategic direction to a team of four field-based Sales Directors responsible for growing Cardinal Health Specialty’s market share within community-based oncology and urology practices nationwide.  This position plays a key leadership role in executing the go-to-market strategy, strengthening market presence, and advancing the adoption of specialty drug distribution and technology solutions that enable community practices to thrive. This position reports to the Vice President, Specialty Physician Office Sales.

Responsibilities

Team Management : Provide leadership support and direction to the sales team, expecting execution against annual goals and objectives, achieving financial expectations, and establishing development plans for each team member. Pipeline Management : Develop and hold sales team accountable for building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities within Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate forecasting and goal attainment.  Ensure a strong partnership with revenue management and implementation teams to ensure smooth customer negotiations and onboarding, escalating where needed. Strategic Execution : Support, provide input and execute against all strategic initiatives by driving adoption and execution within the team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s and Advanced degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred 12+ years of experience in healthcare sales or related field preferred Experience with community-based Oncology and Urology practices as it relates to distribution and technology solutions Prior team leadership experience Demonstrated experience implementing complex and effective marketing strategies Skilled at managing third-party and vendor relationships Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated analytical prowess and uses analysis to enable improved decision-making Ability to handle multiple complex projects and requests simultaneously; detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, budgeting, organization and time management skills Ability to travel up to 70% nationwide Anticipated salary range : $248,100 - $350,910 (includes targeted variable pay) Bonus eligible : Yes Benefits : Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.
