We have a new vacancy for Electrical Assembly Engineers to be based at our site in Wortley, Leeds on a 12-month fixed term contract. Your mission in CMbE The successful candidates will be responsible for producing, fitting and testing Original Equipment Manufacturer quality on machines. They will be working on electrical wiring and associated assemblies to ensure that they are safe, uniformed and compliant with required standards. The ideal candidates will have good knowledge of Electrical Assembly and testing of large equipment to meet customer requirements. Candidates should have experience working with complex schematic drawings and control panel assembly and connections. Additionally, the candidate should be proactive in reporting any hazards that may cause harm to yourself or colleagues and ensuring that the working area is kept to the company’s 6’s standards. They will conduct scheduled cleaning pit-stops efficiently and escalate any issues related to tooling, drawings, routings, or machine faults.
About you
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within Electrical Assembly and testing of Original Equipment Manufacturer machinery (OEM). The candidate must hold a minimum of a level 3 apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. To excel in this role, candidates should be able to demonstrate their knowledge in using Quality systems and procedures including electrical safe systems of work and testing procedures. The ideal candidate must be able to prioritise workload whilst remaining calm under pressure. The candidate will have strong problem-solving, mechanical and technical skills and possess the ability to work autonomously. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high quality of work, adaptability, make sound judgements and take initiative.
