 OVERVIEW The purpose of the job is to support Demand planning function by providing Innovative solutions and help implementing it to optimize/Standardize processes which will bring improvement to overall forecasting approach resulting in better accuracy. Explore and take up opportunities which supports the demand planning efforts by creating and executing industry standard approaches. This role requires you to operate in 1.30 pm to 10.30 pm shift. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Thorough understanding different forecasting models (time series and causal modal), analyze forecasting outputs, and prepare final analysis of change reports for the stakeholders to understand the data analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and insights Proficiency to Identify, analyze and interpret patterns and trends through descriptive analysis in complex data sets that could be helpful for diagnosis and prediction Analyzing the different performance metrics (e.g. Accuracy, Bias etc.) and identifying improvement opportunities through RCA to achieve business targets Use automated tools (like Tableau Dashboards, GCP etc.) to extract data from primary and secondary sources using SQL/PLSQL Constantly engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment in demand forecast Lead and Coordinate with technical/data science teams to identify process improvement opportunities, validate outputs, propose modification if required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Operational research, statistics, supply chain and any other relevant field Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data analysis Technical Skills: Working knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau/Power BI/Looker. Familiar with forecasting techniques like Time series models (Exponential smoothing/ARIMA) and other ML techniques. Basic knowledge of supply chain/CPG/Retail Proficiency in statistics and statistical tools like R/ Python/Excel/SQL to be used for data set analysis. Basic knowledge of cloud environment like GCP/AWS/AZURE Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a systematic and logical approach, strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, and sound business acumen.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree is preferred, with a major in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain. Preferred Professional Certifications: Data Analytics, Supply Chain 101 etc.
