We are currently seeking a Senior Purchasing Lead who will be responsible for working with Suppliers to improve performance, including understanding supply constraints, handling part escalations and identifying opportunities for inventory reductions. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain, and is part of the Supply Chain team located in Indianapolis and is an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Monitor Supplier Performance, working with Supplier and Commodity Team to improve Supplier OTD by driving ongoing supplier optimization. Handle delivery/part escalations from the Site Buyers. Negotiate PO Liability with Suppliers. Work with Capacity Team to provide demand forecast to Suppliers. Collaborate with and support tactical buyers, production planning and Value Stream to ensure timely delivery to our customers. The essential requirements of the job are: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5+ years of general business experience or Master's degree with 3+ years general business experience or Doctoral degree with 0+ years of experience Strong organizational, communication, and detailed operational process skills to keep all parties informed of attainment or missing metric targets. Proven ability to manage Suppliers. Data analysis and interpretation with PowerBI or similar tools. Proficient with ERP systems, Excel, and agile in learning new software.
