The Opportunity
This role is responsible for packaging finished products according to customer specifications while ensuring the highest standards of quality, food packaging safety, and compliance. The Packer Inspector plays a critical role in verifying product quality, preventing product mix-ups, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting efficient production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Package finished products according to job specifications and established quality standards. Follow line clearance, mix prevention, food packaging safety, quality, and GMP procedures throughout all packaging activities. Collaborate with operators, assistants, and other team members to support efficient production and maintain product quality. Conduct quality inspections to identify defects and verify product compliance with customer requirements. Complete required documentation and accurately record production and quality data. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards and company policies. Follow all workplace safety requirements and promptly report safety or quality concerns. Participate in training, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions. Perform additional duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read, understand, and apply information from instruction manuals, procedure manuals, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Commitment to food packaging safety, GMP compliance, and workplace safety standards. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
