Summary: The Business Line Manager (BLM) – NAVG reports to the Vice President & General Manager - NAVG . This position is responsible for Orders, Sales, and standard margins of the NAVG product lines including Gate Globe Check valves, Butterfly valves, Duo Check valves among others . He/she will develop winning business model for each of the product line and actively monitor and drive the market level pricing, quality requirements, and lead time requirements of the product line. The BLM would develop cost targets, quality measures, and establishes required lead times and actively work with Operations and Supply Chain teams to meet these targets. The BLM will provide input to the Operations and Sourcing team’s on the manufacturing footprint strategy and sourcing decisions. BLM will also lead cross functional New Product Development teams and take products from ideation to launch. BLM will support the VP/GM in his responsibility of owning the P&L for the business line, including investment decisions, and development of the product plan for the product category. The BLM is ultimately responsible for the success of the business line in meeting our internal cost, quality, lead time and financial requirements. The GBLM will be a key contributor to the ability of Crane CPE to develop the best growth opportunities in revenue, market share and profitability. Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to) : Business Model Impact and Growth Strategy Develops and Implements Business Models for different products . Supports development of S trategic Plan and Operating plan for the business . Supports monthly reporting for key business KPIs Supply development of weekly pulse for sales and orders, quarterly forecasts and annual operational plan. Leads the development of 80 / 20 analysis for pricing, product line simplification, customer line simplification, burden reduction and super serving customers for assigned product lines Leads growth initiatives for assigned product lines Responsible for identifying product portfolio gaps. Responsible for development and launch of new products using Crane NPD process Provide input on the key process applications for the targeted business in order to identify new opportunities where our products can be utilized in the current application and in new applications being developed. Evaluate customer and distributor surveys to maintain a pulse on the served market’s perception of our performance relative to price, quality and lead time. Price/Quality/Delivery Targets Responsible for Orders, Sales, and margins for the assigned product lines Responsible for the attainment of the product goals by cost, quality and delivery. Establishes the minimum product features and benefits that meet relevant industry standards. Understands the product architecture and application guidelines. Execute product cost strategy in conjunction with operations. Assists the Operations teams with technical and commercial information requests. Will initiate the New Product Development programs to assure successful launch. Work with Sales and Engineering to define product release requirements, marketing strategy, product positioning, and target customers. Target the global growth opportunities for the entire product line. Drive annual price increase and manage pricing throughout the year to maximize product margins Business Relationships Will be the prime developer of the business model and demand input for the product’s SIOP process. Actively provide s input on market feedback related to cost, quality, and lead time requirements, regulatory impacts, standards, prices, commodity impacts, new product introductions, etc…, in order to develop and implement effective global strategies in each of these.
