 Security Clearance Status: Not Required Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Composites product line at our Union, West Virginia facility. In this role, you will work in a unionized manufacturing environment, supporting both legacy aerospace programs and new product introductions while driving process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and production capability. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience in aerospace composite manufacturing, working closely with cross-functional teams and production personnel while developing skills that can lead to future technical leadership or project management opportunities within Collins Aerospace. This role may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do
Legacy Product line Process Improvements Additive Manufacturing Manufacturing Fixturing and Tooling New Product Introduction Manufacturing Bill of Materials & Router Creation/Maintenance Manufacturing Instruction Creation and Maintenance within designated area Engineering Change Order/Manufacturing Change Order Review Development of Manufacturing Process improvements improving capacity and throughput Capital Project Execution Works autonomously with limited supervision within a team and alongside production personnel Influences others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies and practices What You Will Learn This role will allow you to learn procedures and strategies associated with process improvements in a team-based aerospace environment. Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field Qualifications We Prefer Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering preferred. Basic knowledge of elastomerics, composites, engineered fabrics, machine programing and general manufacturing processes.
