A Day in the Life Medtronic Cardiac Surgery partners with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and operating room teams to deliver technologies that support complex cardiac and vascular procedures. The portfolio includes cardiac surgery solutions used across the surgical continuum, providing clinical and technical support to healthcare professionals while driving adoption of therapies that improve patient outcomes. This Territory Manager role is responsible for commercial growth and customer engagement across Tamil Nadu, excluding Coimbatore. The position follows a remote work style with frequent field-based customer interaction and approximately 50% travel across assigned accounts, hospitals, and healthcare institutions within the territory. The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, expanding market presence, and supporting clinical adoption of Cardiac Surgery products across the assigned territory. This role works closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusion teams, hospital stakeholders, and procurement functions to deliver product education, procedural support, and account development strategies that contribute to business growth and customer success. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Drive territory sales growth by executing account plans and identifying opportunities to expand adoption of Cardiac Surgery therapies across assigned hospitals and healthcare institutions. Build and maintain clinical and commercial relationships with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, operating room staff, vascular specialists, and procurement stakeholders. Provide product education, technical support, and clinical expertise to support safe and effective use of Cardiac Surgery technologies. Deliver procedural support during surgical cases, including troubleshooting and follow-up activities to ensure customer satisfaction and therapy adoption. Conduct product training and in-service programmes for new and existing customers on assigned therapy portfolios. Partner with key implant centres to develop strategies that increase product utilisation and support progression toward technical self-sufficiency. Gather and communicate market intelligence, customer feedback, competitive activity, and product performance insights to internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, inventory-related activities, and territory data within approved business systems. Required Knowledge and Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years experience* OR Associate’s Degree AND 4+ years experience* OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience* Preferred: Experience in Cardiac Surgery, Cardiovascular, Structural Heart, Perfusion, Extracorporeal Life Support, or related medical device therapies. Degree or certification in Perfusion Technology. Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Master of Business Administration. Experience supporting live surgical procedures and working directly with cardiac surgeons and operating room teams. Knowledge of hospital purchasing processes, account development strategies, and healthcare market dynamics within South India.
