Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours. Your tasks and responsibilities: You will assist with the maintenance and continuous improvement of Excel-based calculation models and inventory templates for Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions, as well as with identifying, troubleshooting and resolving data issues, calculation errors and workflow inefficiencies You will help to update and maintain emission factors from recognised sources (e.g. IEA, DEFRA, EPA, ecoinvent, national databases) You will contribute to the development and maintenance of an internal Power BI dashboard covering emissions in the Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 categories, as well as to the improvement of data visualisations, analyses and reporting functions to deliver actionable insights on sustainability You will assist with the maintenance and further development of models for forecasting future emission factors for the electricity grid. You will work with publicly available datasets and scenarios, including the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) ‘World Energy Outlook’ You will assist with various other research and analysis activities and tasks; for example, helping to evaluate emissions-related data from suppliers and customers To find out more about the specific business, have a look at https://www.siemens-healthineers.com/products-services Your qualifications and experience: You are currently successfully pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, data analysis, industrial engineering, business informatics, economics or a similar field You are at least for one year available You are confident in using Power BI or other data visualisation tools and have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Query for managing, processing and analysing complex datasets You have a keen interest in, or a willingness to learn, key concepts relating to sustainability and greenhouse gas accounting Your attributes and skills: You have a very good command of English; knowledge of German would be an advantage You are characterised by an independent, structured and reliable approach to your work You will work alongside experienced sustainability and subject matter experts and contribute to highly relevant sustainability issues that make a real difference You have an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail Would you like to gain practical insights into the implementation of climate strategies within a global corporation?
