 Summary: Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) seeks a dynamic, mission-driven healthcare executive to serve as Hospital Chief Executive Officer for Plains Regional Medical Center (Clovis, NM) and Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital (Tucumcari, NM). This is a unique opportunity to lead two critical hospitals that serve as essential healthcare access points for Eastern New Mexico while advancing Presbyterian’s mission to improve the health of the communities it serves. The successful leader will provide strategic, operational, financial, and cultural leadership across both facilities, ensuring continued excellence in quality, safety, patient experience, workforce engagement, and financial stewardship. This executive will play a critical role in strengthening local healthcare access, expanding key services, and fostering strong physician, employee, and community relationships. Unlike larger tertiary medical center leadership roles, this position requires a highly visible executive who thrives in a community-focused environment, someone equally comfortable in board meetings, physician discussions, community events, and frontline rounding. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with operational execution and has a passion for serving rural and regional healthcare communities.

Strategic Leadership & Community Impact Lead the strategic direction and execution of organizational priorities for Plains Regional Medical Center and Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital. Ensure alignment between local hospital strategies and Presbyterian Healthcare Services enterprise objectives. Identify opportunities to expand access, enhance services, and strengthen Presbyterian's presence throughout Eastern New Mexico. Serve as a visible community ambassador and advocate for healthcare access and health improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, government officials, educational institutions, and business stakeholders. Operational & Financial Stewardship Maintain accountability for hospital operations, financial performance, and resource management. Drive operational excellence through effective utilization of labor, supply chain, capital resources, and productivity initiatives. Ensure financial performance aligns with organizational targets while supporting investments in growth and quality. Lead capital planning efforts and prioritize investments that improve patient care and operational efficiency. Monitor performance indicators and implement corrective actions to improve operational outcomes. Clinical Quality & Patient Safety Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across both facilities. Drive progress toward high reliability principles and zero-harm goals. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Monitor quality outcomes and patient safety metrics while implementing strategies to improve performance. Partner with physician and clinical leaders to advance evidence-based care and improve patient outcomes. Physician & Workforce Engagement Foster strong relationships with employed and independent physicians throughout the service area. Support physician recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies to maintain essential clinical services. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and professional development. Build employee engagement and strengthen Presbyterian's reputation as an employer of choice. Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives. Patient Experience & Access Drive improvement in patient experience and satisfaction metrics. Develop strategies to enhance access to care and improve care coordination. Ensure patients and families experience compassionate, high-quality care across all settings.
