With 10 operating theatres and a reputation for clinical excellence, you’ll work alongside highly experienced multidisciplinary teams while developing your leadership skills in a fast paced and rewarding environment. As a Scrubs Lead Theatre Practitioner in Neuro, Spine and General Surgery, you’ll play an important role in supporting the delivery of safe, high quality surgical care across a varied caseload. You’ll work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre colleagues, helping to coordinate theatre activity while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care and safety. This role offers exposure to complex Neuro and Spine procedures, General Surgery and our developing Robotic Surgery Programme, giving you the opportunity to broaden your expertise while working with advanced surgical technology. Through mentoring and coaching colleagues, you’ll help strengthen clinical practice across the department, support professional development and contribute to the ongoing success of our theatre services. What you’ll do: Provide clinical leadership within the theatre environment, ensuring safe, effective and evidence based patient care. Support the coordination of Neuro, Spine, General and Robotic Surgery theatre activity to optimise patient flow and theatre utilisation. Mentor, coach and assess colleagues, supporting professional development and maintaining high clinical standards. Share specialist knowledge and champion best practice across the department, acting as a role model for the wider theatre team. Support the Theatre Manager and Theatre Coordinator with operational oversight, including specialist loan equipment processes when required. What you’ll bring: Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification. Current NMC or HCPC registration. Extensive Scrub Practitioner experience across Neuro, Spine and General surgery, with exposure to robotic surgery services. Strong leadership, communication and team development skills. Proven ability to work effectively within a fast paced and complex theatre environment. Why HCA UK?
