Employee Relations Investigator

The global HR organization includes HR business partners, learning and development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee communications, and HR system operations. Based out of Newport, the Employee Relations Investigator, UK and EU will report to the Global Head of Employee Relations Investigations and partner closely with the Global Employment Law Team. The Investigator will be an advocate of KLA’s culture and values and will be responsible for investigating any potential workplace issues that violate KLA’s policies, values and/or applicable laws or regulations. The Investigator is expected to conduct investigations in a fair, impartial, and thorough manner, including conducting employee and third-party interviews, document review and analysis, managing and working with outside law firms, drafting investigation reports and recommendations, and reporting out investigation findings at all levels within KLA, depending on the matter.  The Investigator must have uncompromising integrity, be able to handle multiple complex investigations concurrently.

Conduct fair, thorough, and timely investigations into allegations of violations of KLA’s policies or local law and policies to ensure fair treatment of all employees. Initiate and complete all investigation steps, including document review, interviews, investigation reports, recommend remedial actions, and reporting out on investigation findings, trends, and related metrics.  Manage and work with third party resources, such as digital forensics, investigation, and document review firms. Manage document reviews, including the collection, review, and analysis of relevant documents. Conduct employee training on KLA’s investigation process, including reporting channels and the importance of raising issues. Support the Global Employee Relations Center of Excellence on other projects, initiatives, and strategic opportunities as may arise from time-to-time.

Degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related fields. Significant professional experience conducting internal workplace investigations in-house or at a law firm. Fluent in English. Fluency in other French or Germany highly desirable Familiarity with employment laws in UK and EU. Willingness to collaborate across teams, multiple regions and time zones, including international travel. Excellent communication, analytical, influencing and writing skills. Self-motivated and persistent; strong ability and comfort in exercising independent judgment for obtaining results while managing legal risk. What we will offer you?
