Intake Clinician

This opportunity is for a full-time Intake Clinician working weeknights from 11pm - 7am plus every other Saturday & Sunday. Our 164-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility to provide assessments to varied populations including male and female adolescents and adults, as well as dually diagnosed adults. In absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame via the organization’s orientation and training program. Required Education: Master's degree in counseling or related field.

One year inpatient psychiatric assessments/treatment experience with adults and/or adolescents preferred. Required Licensure/Certification: Licensed professional (LCSW or LCSWA, LCMHC or LCMHCA, LMFT or LMFTA).

Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology including therapeutic relationships & processes, age specific growth & development, limit setting, crisis & behavior management. Physical Requirements:
